What are Visual Software Inc.'s standards for privacy?
Privacy relates to making sure that exchanged information is never sent to entities or people who do not need to see it.
Visual Software products have many built-in features specifically intended to help support the maintenance of privacy, including:
- In ZIAgent and Mimic, local administrators can choose to mask certain fields from being shared. So, even if the default configuration would publish a certain piece of information, that publication can be easily overridden.
- The ZIServer broker can filter certain pieces of information from being delivered to specified recipients. For example, information about a learner's medical past published by a school may be delivered to Veracity for statistical analysis, but may be stripped out of the copy of the message that gets sent to the Learning Management System (it is not needed there).
- Veracity can filter out all information fields that should not be stored for a learner or staff member. Even if they were published by the originating application, the information will not be saved.
