Visual Software has been creating, delivering and supporting products to educational organizations and companies since 1995. We had always planned to extend our scope outside of education, so we intentionally designed all of our products as a platform that could support education as well as other businesses. We refined our product line using an education XML specification called SIF because it was comprehensive and well-designed with a blueprint for a message delivery broker.

As we were having great success in the education marketplace, we realized that the need was much larger. In fact, it extended to other marketplaces that either didn’t yet have an industry-wide XML standard, or that had one without a standardized method of connecting applications and transporting the data securely.
Visual Software sees the gap our products fill in these other industries as well as the opportunities that can be possible through establishing relationships with partners that have enterprise-level experience in these industries. For this reason, we are looking for partners who understand our vision and are able to convey it to their customers as well as identify opportunities where a connected application environment is needed. Value Added Resellers are organizations who are able to resell our applications to customers along with providing assistance in the form of one or more of the following:
- Architecture planning
- Application configuration
- Environment maintenance (managed services)
- Application installation
- Tier‑1 help desk support
Application installation and Tier‑1 help desk support are normally included in our “year 1” license prices, so we pass on those costs as an additional discount to our VAR partners.
Training
For our VAR Partners, we provide training as needed. Tier‑2 support is always provided by Visual Software to partners for all product and maintenance plans purchased. Tier‑1 support is also available for new VAR partners until they feel they are at a point where they can fully take over that responsibility. Resellers are organizations whose customers might need our applications, but they themselves do not have the staff to provide added services. For these organizations, we provide sales information as well as training and support throughout the sales process. Additionally, we provide customer installation and full customer support as needed.
OEM Partners are Independent Software Vendors who already own or sell applications that they would like to make part of an integrated solution. Our ZIAgent™ product can be configured to work with the partner’s application to enable it to work in a connected environment. Our Dexterity™ product can be distributed with the partner’s application to help make it highly reliable. Then, these can be bundled with our other products to complete the system (message broker, identity management or data quality management).
